No I don’t think you can tell me what I’m tired of and not?
I don’t like the “renaissance”. I don’t feel it’s even a renaissance to me. It has my least favourite and completely overrated disney movies. That’s my opinion.
And in my opinion, personally, I feel as though the classics, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Snow White, 101 Dalmatians, Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty, are by far better than any of the “renaissance” movies. Walt’s classics are my favourites.
And always seeing the “renaissance” be called the renaissance is annoying for me. That’s how I feel. You can continue calling it a renaissance, I’m not.
Well those movies are classics because they had the involvement of Walt himself, and I agree with you on the point that many of them can be considered the best in the entire canon. It was the Disney Golden Era.
But the “renaissance” still what the period between The Little Mermaid and Tarzan is officially called soooo it is what it is I suppose.
I get that the disney “renaissance” is called a renaissance because the movies in that time did well at the box office.
But seriously like the box office is a horrible way to judge movies.
Grown Ups 2 made 250 million dollars at the box office, but does that make it a good movie? No. That was a shitty fucking movie.
The term doesn’t have to do with the box office, it has to do with the quality of films changing after the mediocre to average films following Walt’s death.
